Carl Sandburg College signs articulation agreement with Culver-Stockton

The presidents of Carl Sandburg and Culver-Stockton colleges met today to sign an agreement between the two schools that would ensure smooth transfer options from the two-year community college.

Ahead of the signing at the Sandburg campus, Culver-Stockton President Dr. Kelly Thompson said the articulation agreement would make transfers seamless.

“Today is a historic day because we’re going to finalize something that will allow more students from your wonderful college to come to Culver-Stockton College,” Thompson said.

Sandburg President Dr. Lori Sundberg said the decision to forge an agreement came from the response of students who had transferred.

“We have noticed over the years we have several students — every year — who go to Culver-Stockton,” Sundberg said. “And they come back with fantastic experiences.”

Culver-Stockton Vice President of Academic Affairs Dan Silber says students who earn an associate degree at Sandburg will have fulfilled nearly every general education requirement needed to earn a bachelor’s degree at the Missouri liberal arts school.
