Over the past couple of years, Sully Erna talked about doing some special things to mark Godsmack‘s 20th anniversary this year. Now he’s changed his mind.
Erna tells Billboard that they’ve really decided to just focus on their new album, When Legends Rise, and have skipped any nostalgia trip. He explains, “We actually kinda got away from that and we don’t really want to promote the 20-year thing. Maybe we’ll revisit that at 25 years, but right now it’s about this record and focusing on this album. We’re kind of starting this thing up again the right way and aspiring towards making this bigger and better than it ever has been.”
The title track for When Legends Rise, due out April 27th, is at streaming services and YouTube now.
