Former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent had been estranged from the band for a very long time until taking part in a Gene Simmons Vault Experience in April. But that little reunion could be short-lived, as something he recently did sounds like it could be met with legal action by Simmons and Paul Stanley.
Vincent, who was in the band from 1982 to ’84 and played on the albums Creatures of the Night and Lick It Up, has filed two applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the name Vinnie Vincent’s KISS.
Should his applications be approved, he can use the name for live performances and merchandise, including recordings.
We reached out to the KISS office for comment, but have yet to hear back.
