Hammond and Curtis to meet at forum tonight

Election day is right around the corner, and the two major party candidates vying for the State Representative seat in the 93rd District are taking part in a forum tonight being put on by Carl Sandburg College, and the Register-Mail.

Democrat John Curtis and Incumbent Republican Norine Hammond, both of Macomb, will meet at the college’s Crist Student Center where questions from panelist will range between jobs, education, the economy, state finances, and other political issues.

The panelists include reporters from the newspaper, Robert Connelly and Rebecca Susmarski, as well as Sandburg student Robert Wolford.

Citizens who attend will have the opportunity to meet both candidates in the final 30 minutes of the forum.

The forum is free and will run between 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Building B of the community college.
