KISS Open The End Of The Road Tour In Canada – Video

Video Still Photo Credit: Youtube User "Rockergandalf"KISS hit the trail last night in Vancouver, Canada for the start of what they swear is their final tour — the End of the Road.

Sporting new costumes and a new stage show, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Tommy Thayer were lowered from the rafters on octagon-shaped platforms, which were then raised back up to become part of the lighting and video rig.

But the expanded set list of 20 songs didn’t include anything they haven’t been doing over the last five or so years.

Between the opening “Detroit Rock City” and the standard closing number, “Rock and Roll All Nite,” Stanley flew over the crowd to the B-stage for “Love Gun,” Simmons was lifted aloft to spit blood before “God of Thunder,” Thayer shot flares out of his guitar during “Cold Gin” and drummer Eric Singer took a solo in “100,000 Years.” He also played piano for “Beth.”

Up next on the three-year goodbye lap is Thayer’s hometown, Portland, Oregon tonight (Friday) and Tacoma, Washington on Saturday.
