Slipknot Scrambling To Figure Out Australian Tour

Photo Credit: LUIS BLANCO / PRPhotos.com Slipknot is now apparently scrambling to book a tour of Australia and New Zealand, after their trip Down Under as the opening act for Metallica was abruptly cancelled on Friday when James Hetfield entered rehab.

Soon after the news of the cancellation was made public, Slipknot took to social media to inform their fans Down Under that they are “working as quickly as possible to determine next steps. We will let everyone know as soon as we are able. After expressing their best wishes for Hetfield and Metallica, they assure the fans that they “hope to see you all very soon.” (Blabbermouth)

Also sending along best wishes to Hetfield this weekend is current Deadland Ritual and former Guns n’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, who writes on his social media, “Take care of yourself my friend. You are a human being like everyone else that has real struggles. The disease of Alcoholism doesn’t discriminate. You are very strong to take the steps needed to be healthy and happy. The rest can wait.” (Blabbermouth)
