Metallica fans will get to see the band at five different U.S. festivals in 2020.
As Internet savvy fans of the band posted on Reddit this week, Metallica will headline the five festivals run by Danny Wimmer Presents — Epicenter in Charlotte, North Carolina the weekend of May 1st; Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida the weekend of May 8th; Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio the weekend of May 15th; Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky the weekend of September 18th; and Aftershock in Sacramento, California the weekend of October 9th.
What the Internet sleuths didn’t uncover is that Metallica will play the Friday and Sunday nights at each event — and do different sets. Tickets are on sale now for Metallica fan club members, with general on sales starting on Monday. The full lineups for each festival will be announced in the coming months.
