Alice Cooper in Peoria

Alice Cooper was the blueprint for the countless heavy metal, glam and shock-rockers who followed in his footsteps. More than 40 years after he invented Alice, he’s still happily playing the character in the way he always has: made up in thick, dripping mascara and jet-black hair and creating a haunted-house vibe with his spooky staging, props and theatrical smoke. With the help of now-classic tracks like “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “I’m Eighteen,” and “School’s Out,” Cooper and his band earned a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011 and still have fans clamoring for tickets. On his 2013 tour, Cooper split his concerts into three parts; one was focused on his glam-rock side, one on the shock-rock persona, and one on his influences. Cooper released his latest album, Welcome 2 My Nightmare, in 2011, a sequel to his 1975 album Welcome to My Nightmare. Like the first Nightmare, the sequel was produced by Bob Ezrin (KISS, Pink Floyd). It peaked at No. 22 on The Billboard 200, his best showing on the album chart in more than two decades.
