Bon Jovi in Chicago

When it comes to touring, that oft-romanticized component of rock stardom, nobody does it better – or bigger – than rock icons Bon Jovi. With more the 2700 concerts in over 50 countries under their belts, Bon Jovi are one of the highest-grossing touring acts of all time.  Hits like “Livin’ On a Prayer” and “You Give Love a Bad Name” are practically synonymous with arena rock, so it’s only appropriate that Bon Jovi are still selling out stadiums 20 years later, leaving a trail of highly coveted ticket stubs in their wake. Following the release of their 12th studio album What About Now, Bon Jovi are on the road again in 2013 for the Because We Can tour, which includes several concerts in honor of their induction into the Air Canada Centre Hall of Fame.

Heralding from the boardwalks of the Jersey Shore, Bon Jovi formed in the early ‘80s under the direction of frontman Jon Bon Jovi. The band launched to international superstardom with the No. 1 release of Slippery When Wet in 1986, and the album’s universal appeal – along with the band’s iconic image – is credited with widening hard rock’s audience to include more female fans, in addition to the traditionally male-dominated audience. Over the next two decades, Bon Jovi would go on to release three more No. 1 albums, including New Jersey (1988), Lots Highway (2007), and The Circle  (2009). The hugely successful release of single “It’s My Life” in 2000 introduced Bon Jovi to a new generation of fans, paving the way for their continued success as one of the most in-demand live bands in the history of rock and roll.
