Julie McVey Reading Day – Step Up for Literacy!

Join us on the Square for Julie McVey Reading Day!
9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., Public Square, BCA/Library Quadrant
Warren County United Way, in coordination with Warren County Libraries, Monmouth College’s Education Department, Buchanan Center for the Arts, Monmouth College’s Classes 03-06, United School District, Monmouth Roseville School District, West Central Leadership, Warren County Area Eagle Scouts, and the Ronald and the Cassandra Shawler Memorial Library, is honored to celebrate Julie McVey’s impact on children, community, and reading with a children’s festival and the installation of Julie’s Little Libraries throughout Warren County!
Julie McVey was a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, and beloved teacher. We will never forget her laughter, her wise and thoughtful approach to service, her commitment to education and the community, and the infinite love she had for her family. Honoring her memory requires something special.
100% of the funds raised for this annual event will be shared between Julie’s Little Libraries and a College Fund for Lucy McVey, Julie’s 2-year-old daughter.

Events Line-up July 27th:
8 a.m. Check-in/Registration Junior Race (free for ages 0-6)
9 a.m. Junior Race around the square with ribbon presentations/goodie bags
9:30 a.m. Presentation to the McVey Family/Ribbon Cutting
10 a.m. Live reading in Warren County Library with cast members from Mary Poppins
(includes live performance immediately following outside)
11 a.m. Live music with Shaniah Paige
12 p.m. Live children’s music with Craig Vivian
9 a.m. – 1 p.m. food, live remote, refreshments, sweets, games, fun!
