Two dead in vehicle-related incidents

A Williamsfield man and a Monmouth man are dead following separate vehicle-related incidents earlier this week.

Warren County Coroner Al McGuire confirmed today that 30-year-old Aaron Hull of Monmouth was killed after sustaining injuries from an exploding car tire.

McGuire says Hull was installing a tire on the rim of a car when the tire “popped” and caused blunt force trauma to the head. A McGuire and Davies obituary says Hull was heavily involved in “midget car racing” and raced throughout the Midwest. Hull passed away shortly before 9 p.m. Monday night at OSF Holy Family Medical Center.

In an unrelated incident, Knox County Coroner Mark Thomas says that 60-year-old James Bridson was found unresponsive near Victoria Sunday morning, trapped underneath an ATV.

Thomas says the Williamsfield man left to spray weeds the night before and never returned home. He says the official cause of death has been labeled compressional asphyxia. A Haskell-Hott obituary says Bridson was a truck driver and had a love for farming.

Both of the deceased will have funeral and memorial services held later this week.
