Galesburg police have just released information about a fatal motorcycle accident that took place last night.
Thirty-three-year-old Patrick Louis Fegan Jr. of Galesburg was killed in a single-vehicle accident, while driving his Harley Davidson on the 4th Street bridge.
Police found Fegan unresponsive when they arrived on scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. According to police reports, a witness told authorities that he and Fegan were leaving a bar and had been drinking, though alcohol has not yet been cited as a contributing factor to his death.
Fatal head injuries were noted as a result of the crash.
Police, Galesburg Fire Department officials and the Knox County Deputy Coroner were all on scene. The wreck remains under investigation.
