The OSF HealthCare Foundation announced last night the establishment of a new pediatric wellness center.
It’s official name will be the Mark and Jeannette Kleine Pediatric Wellness Center, after the couple made a $1.5 million gift.
An OSF news release says that the center will include a “pediatric resource center, mental health prevention and treatment, advocacy programs and healthy living resources.”
The announcement was made last night at Soangetaha Country Club before various business people, politicians and OSF top brass.
As Mark addressed the gathering, he fought back tears.
“Jeannette and I strongly believe the children of our community are our future and providing the health care they need to flourish is critical. The gift is ultimately the gift of life,” Kleine says.
Specifics of the programs and service for the Kleine Center are still in the works, in partnership with OSF St. Mary Medical Center, OSF Galesburg Clinic and the Children’s Hospital of Illinois.
