Galesburg police say a man is recovering from “non-fatal” injuries after a morning crash that caused his car to flip into a culvert off of U.S. 34 near the Seminary Street exit.Shortly before 11 a.m., William Duffy’s vehicle went off the roadway at the off ramp onto Seminary Street.
Officers say the Moline man’s car traveled through the grass, striking a cement culvert, causing him to flip end over end before landing on his wheels.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene. Duffy was taken to OSF St. Mary Medical Center and was later Life Flighted to St. Francis Hospital in Peoria where he is being treated.
It’s unclear what caused Duffy to crash. His age is unknown as well. An investigation is on-going
