Weaver inviting constituents to meet at Galesburg Public Library

Illinois Senator Chuck Weaver makes an effort to hold forums and town halls with constituents across his district.

One of those forums will be held in Galesburg tomorrow at the Galesburg Public Library.

Last August Sen. Weaver held one of these townhalls at the GPL in August but that was more focused on education funding, as there was intense debate over a piece of legislation called SB1.

For this forum there could be a wider range of topics discussed as the Peoria Republican is inviting constituents to come with their questions on state government.

A flier for the event does say that Weaver will give the “hard facts about the state budget” and how Illinois “compares to surrounding states.”

Weaver’s Galesburg Public Library Town Hall will get underway at 6 p.m. this Wednesday.
