The Galesburg City Manager and Director of Planning and Public Works are recommending a bid to repair pavement on Lombard Street.
The City Council can approve that bid Monday when they meet at City Hall at 6:30 p.m.
The work is repairing a section of pavement that was damaged because of a water main break, that caused the pavement to heave.
As a result a portion of the pavement had to be removed, so the bid from Gunther Construction is to replace the pavement with a concrete base, followed by asphalt overlay to match the surrounding surface.
The bid up for approval is just under $31,000.
Also before the meeting, at 6:20 p.m. Mayor John Pritchard will read proclamations for United Way of Knox County, physical therapy month and manufacturing month.
Aldermen could also approve subscribing to a software service for public service requests.
The amount for the subscription would be $6,900 and it would run until the end of 2019.
Council documents say the program will allow the “public to quickly and easily submit a service request to city staff.
For something like a pothole a resident could provide a picture and location and submit it to the city through their cellphone.
A test hole at gravel pack well #5 at the Oquawka Water Treatment facility will also be considered.
The gravel pack well is set to be constructed but a part of the design process demands that the contractor drill a test hole.
The bid that administration recommends is in the amount of $22,000.
Council can also approve disposing of two police motorcycles with plans to sell them on ebay
