Shooting in Kewanee leaves two injured

Not many details have been released, but police in the largest city in Henry County say two people are injured following a suspected shooting there.

Police in Kewanee say the shooting happened just before 1am Monday at a home in the 100 block of North Vine Street, east of the city’s downtown area.

Authorities say a 25-year-old male at the home suffered a gunshot wound, while a 26-year-old female suffered what were described as blunt force injuries.

The male is said to be in OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, while the female was taken to OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee. Police have not said exactly what else happened.
