Rob Halford of Judas Priest has a new solo project coming out October 18th — a holiday album.
Celestial is credited to Rob Halford With Family and Friends, and the band on the album includes his brother Nigel on drums, his nephew Alex on bass (who’s also the son of Priest bassist Ian Hill) and his sister Sue playing bells. The album mixes holiday classics and four originals.
Halford says, “Metal maniacs — as we call ourselves — are just as ready for the holidays as everybody else. And what we’ve tried to do with this music is to reach out to as many of those metal dimensions as we possibly can.”
