Mick Mars Solo Album Nearing Completion

Photo Credit: Glenn Francis / PR PhotosThe debut solo album from Mick Mars of Motley Crue is almost done — and now we know who sings on the project.

Jacob Bunton is an Alabama musician who has previously played with the band Lynam and with ex-Guns n’ Roses drummer Steven Adler. Bunton told AL.com that he and Mars and producer Michael Wagener have been working on the final touches for the album the past few months. Bunton said, “Michael’s producing the record because that was the first producer Mick worked with in Motley Crue, so he wanted to do his solo album, so it’s been really cool. We’ve been recording it in Nashville and we’re almost done.”

Bunton added, “The songs are really cool, the record is really cool. He’s such an inventive player and his riffs are insane and it’s definitely going to be what people are expecting.” There’s no release date yet for the album and it’s not clear if it will come out during the Crue stadium tour with Def Leppard and Poison this summer.
