Knox College says rest of the term will be online

Knox College has made what they’re calling a “difficult but unavoidable decision” to have the remainder of their spring semester online.
President Teresa Amott says nearly all faculty and staff are working remotely now as well.

Amott says safeguarding student and faculty health is of “paramount importance”, which means keeping students off-campus until at least the end of May.

The college in a news release says they’re still working through the details of how students will be able to retrieve, ship or store belongings they left on campus.

Many other colleges, including Monmouth, Western Illinois University and Carl Sandburg College have already canceled or postponed their commencement ceremonies.

Knox is still unsure if they will make changes to their June 7 commencement.
