Two new cases of COVID-19 in Knox Co., one in Warren Co.

The Illinois Department of Public Health announced yesterday 1,734 new cases of coronavirus disease in the state, as well as an additional 51 deaths.

In total, the IDPH is reporting over 94,191 cases and nearly 4,177 deaths in 100 counties that stretch the state, with ages ranging from older than 100 years to less than a year.

In the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported over 20-thousand specimens for a total of about 581,944 tests ran. The statewide 7-day positivity rate is 15 percent.

In Knox County, health officials announced two new cases yesterday, bringing the total positive cases to 89. As of Monday, May 11th, data from the Knox County Unified Command says that 41 people had recovered from COVID-19.

Warren County health officials say that one new case was confirmed yesterday, bringing their total to 111. They also say that 80 individuals have recovered and there have been 438 negative tests.
