Another individual is expected to take a plea in the 2018 stabbing case of Nathan J. Goehl.
20-year-old Hayden T. Clark of Knoxville is expected in Knox County Circuit Court on the morning of Thursday, July 2, for the plea hearing.
He is facing four felony charges; the most severe of which is the Class X Solicitation/Murder for Hire and Attempted Murder. The other charges Clark is facing include Class 1 Attempted Murder and Class 3 Aggravated Battery.
Already, two individuals have taken plea deals and been sentenced to prison terms. They are 21-year-olds Matthew D. Hale of Knoxville and Lauren D. Valerius of Davenport, Iowa.
Hale received an 11-year prison term after pleading guilty in April for attempted murder while Valerius received a five-year prison term for a lesser felony charge of attempted murder.
The last individual allegedly involved in the stabbing is Knoxville native 21-year-old Bradley P. Detmers. He had his pretrial conference continued to Monday, August 3.
