Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam took part in an online campaign for ALS research — and showed off his surfing and batting skills.
Vedder was challenged by his friend Theo Epstein, the president of baseball operations for the Chicago Cubs, to do the Trick Shot for Snowy challenge and donate to the ALS fund set up by the NHL’s Calgary Flames. The team’s assistant general manager, Chris Snow, was diagnosed with ALS last year.
In a series of videos posted on Pearl Jam’s Twitter, Vedder accepts the challenge, asks that his bandmate Jeff Ament do it next, and then hits a baseball thrown to him while he’s surfing.
