Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach definitely has too much time on his hands as he continues to go after Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho.
It all started when Bach said Jericho lip syncs in concert.
Jericho naturally disputed that claim saying, “I’ve never mimed anything ever! I will sing in your face anytime, anyplace dude. I’ve been a fan & a defender of u since day one… But don’t u ever question my rock abilities!”
Bach couldn’t keep his mouth shut and told the wrestler that, “Wrestling is not rock and roll. I will show you rock and roll.”
Then, on Saturday during his Saturday Night Special YouTube show, Jericho sang the chorus to Skid Row’s “Youth Gone Wild.”
Bach followed up by badgering Jericho with nasty text messages, but Jericho didn’t respond. Bach then posted a photo of his text messages, but has since taken it down.
Chris Jericho of Fozzy and ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach got into a Twitter spat Thursday morning over claims that Jericho does lip synching.
The whole thing started after someone tweeted that Jericho “is starting to look like” Bach and another fan wrote, “You partied too much — Jericho has you beat.” Bach replied, “He definitely does considering that he mimes to a tape.” A third fan said, “I’ve seen him live a couple of times. He’s not lip syncing.” Bach then said, “Cool let’s see a clip of that then because every single clip I have seen is Milli Vanilli.” (That’s the duo who were exposed as lip-synchers in the early 90s.)
Jericho then logged on and wrote, “I’ve seen the derogatory comments towards me from somebody I considered to be a friend. So with that in mind, I’ll be happy to have a SING OFF [with Sebastian]! No effects, no tuning, no bull. Bas is a great singer…but I’m better. You’ve got my number dude. Call me.”
Bach shot back, “Where is the derogatory comment? All I asked is to see one single clip of you singing live. Every clip on the Internet is you miming to a tape. I will sing in your face anytime. Wrestling is not rock and roll. I will show you rock and roll.”
Jericho responded, “I’ve never mimed anything ever!…I will sing in your face anytime, anyplace dude. I’ve been a fan and a defender of u since day one…but don’t u ever question my rock abilities!” To which Bach replied, “You’re full of [crap] bro. Check your texts set up The Sing-Off I am ready when you are.”
The wrestler-turned-singer has faced lip-synch accusations before. A video of Fozzy playing in Canada in 2018 went viral when several fans at the show accused Jericho of singing along to pre-recorded tracks.
