Roseville man arrested in Galesburg in possession of stolen motorcycle.

Galesburg Police responded to a call on Monday of a suspicious motorcycle parked outside an apartment complex in the 1300 block of West Carl Sandburg Drive. Upon arrival, according to police reports, GPD noticed the Yamaha motorcycle in question lacked a registration plate and the ignition switch appeared damaged or removed. The bike’s rims also appeared to be painted black recently. After running the motorcycle’s VIN number, it came back listed as stolen out of Burlington. Police made contact with the male subject seen driving the motorcycle – 23-year-old Zachary Register of Roseville. Register told police he had purchased the motorcycle from Todd Dixon. At the time of the report, Dixon was being held at the Warren County Jail. GPD contacted Burlington Police who confirmed the actual vehicle’s owner reported it stolen. Register was arrested and charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $500 and transported to the Knox County Jail.
