Affiliate of Phoenix Investors lands anchor lease with Corteva Agriscience in Galesburg

As work has progressed at the former Maytag building on Monmouth Boulevard in Galesburg, so has speculation on what could be moving in the 300,000 square-foot facility. It was announced Monday, August 31st that an affiliate of Phoenix Investors, Coretva Agriscience, has leased the building that has sat vacant for over a decade. Corteva Agriscience is a major American agricultural chemical and seed company that was the agricultural division of DowDuPont prior to being spun off as an independent public company. That’s according to a news release from Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development president Ken Springer. Corteva will move in this fall when renovation work is completed. In a statement, Springer said “this is a big day for our community. The Transformation of the former Maytag facility into a modern, usable space in less than a year has been exhilarating to witness.”
