The second installment of property taxes is due next Tuesday, September 15th, according to Knox County Treasurer, Robin Davis. To avoid statutory penalties beginning on the 16th, mailed payments must be postmarked no later than the 15th and payments left in the drop boxes must be there by 8-30 the morning of the 16th. The two drop boxes are on the Courthouse grounds. Payments can also be accepted, with a fee, online or by phone from most major credit and debit cards. Additionally, payments are being accepted at Knox County banks except for Wells Fargo per their request, through the 15th.
