Disturbance call leads to the arrest of Galesburg man making threats to officers

On Saturday, September 12th, Galesburg police responded to a domestic call in the 1700 block of Indiana Avenue in reference to a physical altercation in the front yard of a residence. Upon arrival, GPD made contact with three individuals: two females and a male who all denied the altercation was physical. Police ran the three individuals and the male, 37-year old David Pacheco of Galesburg came back as having a valid Knox County Warrant for Possession of Meth. After being placed under arrest and transported to the Knox County Jail, Pacheco became increasingly aggressive towards police and jail staff. Pacheco said he needed medical attention and was transported to Cottage Hospital. While at the hospital, Pacheco continued to be aggressive and uncooperative and began making threats towards medical staff and police. Pacheco attempted to lunge at officers while leaving Cottage. In addition to the Warrant, Pacheco was also charged with Threatening a Public Official.
