DESCRIPTION:We’re back for our monthly worship night at The Centennial!\nJoin us each second Sunday for a special night of worship. We believe that worship should not be confined to the walls of a church\, but should be a celebration that brings everyone together. That’s why we invite all members of the community to join us for this unique experience.\nWhat makes our night of prayer and worship unique is the setting. Instead of being confined within the walls of a building\, we gather under the beauty and stillness of the summer sky. Surrounded by nature\, we are reminded of God’s creation and His presence all around us.\nAs the sun sets and the stars begin to appear\, we raise our voices in song and lift up our prayers to God. There is something incredibly powerful about worshiping outdoors\, feeling the gentle breeze on our faces and hearing the sounds of nature as we sing and pray together.\nWhether you are a part of a local church or have never stepped foot in church\, we invite you to join us for our night of prayer and worship. All are welcome.\nSo mark your calendars and make plans to join us on the second Sunday of each month from June to October. Bring a blanket or a chair\, and come prepared to experience the joy and power of worshiping under the summer sky.\nTogether\, let’s unite as the Church of Knox County and lift our voices in prayer and worship. SUMMARY:Galesburg Community Chorus to Begin Rehearsals
DESCRIPTION:Rehearsals for GCC’s 2024 Holiday Concert begin on Monday\, September 9th from 7pm till 9pm at the First Presbyterian Church (101 N Prairie Street) in Galesburg. \nAll are welcome to join\, and no auditions are necessary. Dues are $10 and music fees are $5. Students are not required to pay dues. If you are unable to pay\, please contact our Business Manager at galesburgchorusmanager@gmail.com. \nWe will be performing Sir Karl Jenkin’s ‘Stella Natalis’ for chorus and orchestra as well as a few seasonal favorites. Director Tim Pahel says “the music of ‘Stella Natalis’ is lively\, exciting\, unique\, and often beautifully expressive. Singers and audience alike are sure to love this straightforward yet joyous piece.”
