The Great Pottery Show Off in Monmouth

Stoneware Museum of Monmouth and Warren County History Museum presents “The Great Pottery Show Off” on Saturday, September 11, 2021. This event celebrates the rich artistic and economic history of Warren County by showcasing the Western Stoneware Company, which flourished in the region during the late 19th and mid-20th centuries.
There will be kids’ activities, demonstrations, and a new exhibit on the history of the Western Stoneware Company. And it’s free to attend!
At the Warren County History Museum
- 10:30am speaker Chris Jonus on the Macomb Potteries
- 11:30am speaker Jeff Adams on his 1,000 piece brick collection
- 1:00pm a discussion on William Weir, the entrepeneur
- 1:00pm – 3:00pm pottery and sauerkraut demonstrations, pinch pot making, and butter churning
At the Stoneware Museum
- 8:00am – 4:00pm Oquawkan ceramicist Linda Sickmon will be throwing pottery and selling her creations
