ZZ Top Delay Start Of “Goin’ 50” Tour

Photo Credit: Solarpix / PR PhotosThe start of the North American leg of ZZ Top‘s Goin’ 50 tour has been delayed five days because drummer Frank Beard has pneumonia. As a result, the first four shows have been canceled:

  • 8/16 – Ridgefield, WA – Sunlight Supply Amphitheater
  • 8/17 – Lynden, WA – Northern Quest Casino Theater
  • 8/18 – Vancouver, BC – PNE Amphitheater
  • 8/20 – Yakima, WA – Yakima Valley SunDome

Cheap Trick, who are ZZ’s opening act on the tour, will now headline all but the first of those shows in ZZ’s place. Or ticket refunds can be obtained at point of purchase.

The tour will now get under way August 21st in Woodinville, Washington, with Cheap Trick opening.
