KK Downing Talks About Playing with Priest At Rock Hall

Photo Credit: Landmark / PhotorazziOriginal Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing has indicated that he’s interested in playing with the band should they actually be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this time around.

Speaking to the website Eonmusic.com, Downing, who will go in with the band should Priest get in, says that he’s not sure if an inductee who’s not currently a member is “entitled to play.” He supposes that he and the band will “fathom that all out.” He imagines that “for one day that people can sensibly think, ‘Well, it doesn’t matter. Nothing else matters; what matters is that we’ve achieved this.'”

There’s been nothing said by Judas Priest about the situation since the nominations were announced, although Halford was recently quoted as saying, “It would be wonderful [to be inducted]. I think it’s one of the greatest accolades you can be given, because you’re in the company of musical giants.”
