Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath will be honored by Adopt the Arts at a benefit on May 12th at The Avalon in Hollywood.
Adopts the Arts helps fund music and art education across the country, and was co-founded by ex-Guns n’ Roses, Velvet Revolver and Cult drummer Matt Sorum. Sorum will be part of the group of musicians performing at the concert, which include his former Velvet Revolver bandmates Slash, Dave Kushner and Duff McKagan; his former Cult bandmate Billy Duffy; Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens; Robert Trujillo of Metallica; Rob Zombie guitarist John 5; and Ozzy Osbourne and Post Malone guitarist and producer Andrew Watt.
