Join us LIVE and cast your vote as Gertie the Groundhog makes her official weather prognostication. Will we have 6 more weeks of Winter or an early Spring? Dress up, bring signs, and cheer on Gertie as you enjoy an early morning of entertainment, a scavenger hunt, and a craft at Visitor’s Center.
Enjoy FREE Park admission from 6 to 8 a.m. All entries at this time are welcome to stay and enjoy the park for the day. Regular admission fees apply after 8 a.m.
2026 Schedule of Activities:
6 to 8 a.m. – FREE Park Admission
6 to 9 a.m. – Complimentary craft at the Visitor’s Center
6 to 9 a.m. – Snacks and warm beverages available for purchase
6:30 a.m. – Live music and entertainment with local musician Barry Cloyd
7:08 a.m. – Sunrise and Gertie’s official weather prognostication
8 a.m. – Animals Trails open
8:30 a.m. – Deadline for scavenger hunt entries – turn into the Visitor Center
9 a.m. – Announcement of the WINNER of the Gertie’s Scavenger Hunt
11:30 a.m. – Keeper Chat
