Auditions for Shakespeare, Into the Woods and more

Season Auditions for Adults and Youth Theatre-You may audition for 1 show or whole season
For Adults -“Gone Too Soon”, “Much Ado About Nothing” and “Into the Woods”

For Youth-Original Showcase and Book show TBA-very possibly “She Kills Monsters” or “Godpsell Jr.” Youth theatre is open to ages 17 and under or graduating high school seniors. “She Kills Monsters” may have some flexibility with casting older if needed.

For all auditioners: We will read from the scripts and hear any monologues you wish to show. For youth theatre we will ask you to sing a verse and chorus of your favorite song acapella, For adults wishing to sing you may sing acapella or with a recorded track of your choosing

Auditions are Wednesday March 6, 7pm; Saturday March 9, 2pm; Sunday March 10 4pm. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in-we may ask you to learn a short dance combination. Please enter Central Congregational Church (60 Public Square, Galesburg IL) from the Simmons St entrance across from the fire station. Please note Sugar High Theatricals casting seeks to be as inclusive as possible and we are seeking all races and ethnicities and genders as well as gender nonconforming actors. POC are strongly encouraged to audition and we have several roles in youth theatre that are specifically written for POC. In addition, we will list disability when specific to a character, but are otherwise seeking actors with disabilities as well as able-bodied actors for all roles.
