Fall Jazz Series with Saxophonist Joel Linscheid

New this year, the Fall Jazz Series aims to bring dynamic jazz voices from the region to Galesburg. Throughout the Fall term, different guest artists will hold workshops/conversations with the attendees at the Galesburg Community Arts Center followed by performance at Jazz Night with the Cherry St Combo. Bring your dinner or order carry-out and join us!

Joel Linscheid is a saxophonist and Director of Jazz Studies and Visiting Assistant Professor of Music at Augustana College. He has his DMA from New England Conservatory of Music, and will offer practical advice for jazz composition, and ideas for using composition as a tool for developing as an improviser.
These are free events and all ages are welcome. We have a full bar and you can order food from any of our fantastic local restaurants (some within walking distance) and have “Supper at the Center.” (No outside drinks allowed.)
We are located at 349 E Main Street (the northwest corner of Main and Seminary Street. Look for the open sign.)
