Monday, October 12th around 11:30 am, Galesburg Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Pine Street in an attempt to locate an individual with several Knox County Warrants.
The subject in question was 31-year old Timothy Clewell of Galesburg. Clewell was wanted on a Knox County Warrant for Possession of Meth, Meth Delivery, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $10,000 bond; and two other warrants for Resisting a Peace Officer with a $1,500 bond each. Upon arrival, GPD met with a member of Clewell’s family who said Timothy was in the garage. GPD attempted to make contact with Clewell, who had locked himself in the garage. After several attempts to get Clewell to come outside, GPD was forced to kick in the door and gain entry. Three individuals were in the garage, and Clewell was hiding up in the rafters. He was taken into custody, transported to the Knox County Jail, and once again charged with Resisting a Peace Officer.
