All 7 suspects in Dakota Tinkham murder case plea not guilty

The seven suspects in last month’s shooting death of 19-year-old Dakota R. Tinkham pleaded not guilty today in Knox County Circuit Court.

This comes after an April 1 grand jury indictment of the suspects. All seven are set for a June 6 pretrial date.

Juveniles Justin Timmons and Devontae Williams — both charged as adults — are accused of multiple counts of murder and home invasion.

Eighteen-year-olds Charles Posey, Jovendia Williams and Raymond Gable along with 19-year-olds Miguel Romo and Dalton McKee face charges ranging from residential burglary to murder.

McKee and Romo are the only suspects represented by private counsel; the other five have court appointed attorneys.

McKee is represented by Monmouth attorney Steven Glasgow and Romo by Chicago attorney Scott Kamin. Chief Public Defender Dave Hansen had previously represented Romo.

All seven suspects are held on $1 million bond.
