Warren County Fair canceled after struggling to comply with state reopening plan

The Warren County Fair has now decided they will cancel for 2020, following several other fair boards in the state.

The fair has been held since 1928 and so the fair board says it’s with a “heavy heart” they cancel this year’s event which was scheduled for July 11-18.

The Fair Association says in a post that they were unable to comply with the state’s current Executive Order and Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s Restore Illinois plan.

They add that the Warren County Fair Association will work throughout the upcoming year on improvements for 2021.

The Knox County Fair is still scheduled for July 6-11 just before when Warren County’s was scheduled for.

Already the fairs in Henry, Rock Island, and Mercer Counties have been canceled.
